Toe Zaw Latt, Myanmar bureau chief of the Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB), instructed the BBC that the army will know sanctions are an unavoidable consequence of their actions, including that “they do not care about Western sanctions” and are extra involved “about how China, Japan, South Korea reply”.
